Force software to stay offline when VPN disconnects (with HTTP/SOCKS).

This article is simply here to let you know that you can organize a simple "kill switch" function on any Internet application that comes with HTTP or SOCKS proxy support.

As a matter of fact, if you configure your application to use our HTTP or SOCKS proxy tunnels that are restricted to our VPN network, your application will immediately and always go offline when the VPN disconnects. This is because you/the Internet application will no longer be able to connect to the HTTP or SOCKS proxy tunnel due to the fact the latter is restricted to our VPN network only.

If you would like to know how you may configure your Internet application to connect to our network-restricted HTTP or SOCKS proxy tunnels, please have a look at the following articles:

Connect to Proxy.sh HTTP proxy within the Proxy.sh VPN network
Connect to Proxy.sh SOCKS proxy within the Proxy.sh VPN network
