I would like OpenVPN GUI to remember my credentials. How to achieve that?

If you would like to make OpenVPN GUI remember your VPN credentials in order to avoid having to type again and again the same username and password each time you wish to connect, you can follow the procedure described below.

1. Create a .txt file on a folder alongside your .ovpn files name it what ever you want e.g. 'pass.txt'.

2. Put your VPN username and password inside the file in two(2) lines, like:

username
password

3. Then save it.

4. Open up your .ovpn file in notepad and add:

auth-user-pass pass.txt

5. Save and connect to the OpenVPN server.

Each time you will launch OpenVPN GUI and connect to the server for which you have edited the .ovpn file, the client will no longer asks for your VPN credentials.

Please keep in mind though that this method puts your credentials at risk, as OpenVPN GUI does not provide encrypted remote auth process.
